Só por O SILÊNCIO DOS INOCENTES, ele já merecia minhas homenagens.
Eu ainda lembro a primeira vez que vi o filme, em um cinema lotado e a platéia, em um silêncio absoluto olhava, entre aterrorizada e hipnotizada, para Hannibal Lecter e Clarice Starling duelando verbal e intelectualmente.
Mas Demme ainda tem em seu currículo filmes como TOTALMENTE SELVAGEM, PHILADELPHIA e STOP MAKING SENSE.
Como morou na Bahia, em certo tempo de sua vida, no final dos créditos de alguns de seus filmes, aparecia a frase “a luta continua”, em português. Não sei se isto ainda existe. Mas que era curioso, era.
