Durante muitos anos, considerei LUCIO FLAVIO o melhor filme brasileiro que eu ja vi. Brilhantemente realizado, corajoso, contundente, provocativo, alegórico, estava muito a frente de seu tempo.
Alem disto, Babenco trouxe para o cinema O BEIJO DA MULHER ARANHA, com William Hurt, Sonia Braga e Raul Julia. não foi o grande filme que prometia, mas tem ótimos momentos.
O humanismo do cinema de Babenco deixa um vazio enorme em nossas telas.

For many years , I considered LUCIO FLAVIO the best Brazilian film I’ve ever seen . Brilliantly done , brave , blunt, provocative , allegorical, it was far ahead of his time.
Besides this , Babenco brought to the screen The Kiss of the Spider Woman with William Hurt, Raul Julia and Sonia Braga . It was not the great film that promised , but have a great scenes.
The Babanco humanism in his movies leaves a huge void in our screens .
