A comédia SE BEBER NÃO CASE, dirigida por Todd Phillips foi um enorme sucesso e gerou duas continuações bem inferiores ao primeiro filme. Entre outros fatores, o filme original projetou o comediante Zach Galifianakis (que interpreta o pirado Alan) e mostrou que Bradley Cooper – hoje na moda depois de NASCE UMA ESTRELA – podia ser bem mais que um comediante de filmes B. A melhor cena do filme é o check-in dos protagonistas no luxuoso Caesar Palace Hotel, em Las Vegas, onde Alan mata uma curiosidade:
Alan: Posso lhe fazer uma pergunta?
Lisa: Com certeza.
Alan: Você provavelmente vê isto muitas vezes. Este não é o Caesar Palace real, né?
Lisa: O que você quer dizer?
Alan: Ele… uhh, César morou aqui?
Lisa: Não.
Alan: Eu achei que não.
