O Imovision (app que tem na Amazon Prime Video) está exibindo o drama PÁSSARO BRANCO NA NEVASCA( WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD), que o cineasta e roteirista californiano Gregg Araki dirigiu em 2014.
A trama mostra um jovem, moradora do interior dos EUA, traumatizada pelo desaparecimento de sua mãe quando ela tinha 17 anos. O sumiço inexplicado de Eve Connors (Eva Green sempre hipnótica) passou a ser a questão aberta na vida de Kat Connors (Shailene Woodley) nos anos seguintes, inclusive quando foi para a Universidade em Los Angeles.
Muitos outros personagens habitam a vida de Kat. O pai Brok Connors (Christopher Meloni), um tipo meio bronco e ciumento, o namoradinho Phil (Shiloh Fernandez), um pouco ambicioso trabalhador local, o policial que investiga o caso, o Detetive Sciesessciez (Thomas Jane) e os amigos Beth (Gabourey Sidibe) e Mickey (Mark Indelicato) e a teapêuta Dra. Thaler (Angela Bassett).
Será que algum deles tem algo a ver como o desaparecimento repentino e misterioso de Eve?
O filme de Araki prefere o drama ao thriller.
Alternando as duas linhas do tempo (a difícil convivência de Kat com Eve) e o pós trauma, o filme vai dando ao espectador informações sobre todos os personagens.
O grande ativo do filme termina sendo a solução do caso, em um twist final bem engenhoso, tanto na ideia quanto na forma em que é revelado.
WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD foi sucesso no festival de Deauville e investe muito (com êxito se diga) no talento de Eva Green e Shailene Woodley, duas atrizes que tem onze anos de diferença, mas fazem uma dupla de mãe e filha tensa e complicada como o caso requer.

The plot shows a young woman, resident of the interior of the USA, traumatized by the disappearance of her mother when she was 17 years old. The unexplained disappearance of Eve Connors (Eva Green always hypnotic) became the open question in the life of Kat Connors (Shailene Woodley) in the following years, including when she went to University in Los Angeles.
Many other characters inhabit Kat’s life. The father Brok Connors (Christopher Meloni), a kind of dull and jealous type, the boyfriend Phil (Shiloh Fernandez), a less ambitious local worker, the police officer who investigates the case, Detective Sciesessciez (Thomas Jane) and the friends Beth (Gabourey Sidibe) and Mickey (Mark Indelicato) and therapist Dr. Thaler (Angela Bassett).

Araki’s film prefers drama to thriller.
Alternating the two timelines (Kat’s difficult coexistence with Eve) and the post-trauma, the film gives the viewer information about all the characters.
The film’s great asset ends up being the solution of the case, in a very ingenious final twist, both in the idea and in the way in which it is revealed.
WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD was successful at the Deauville festival and invests a lot (successfully) in the talent of Eva Green and Shailene Woodley, two actresses who are eleven years apart, but make a tense and complicated mother-daughter duo like the case requires.
A good movie.
