Eu tinha lido que a comédia de ação MEDELLIN (em cartaz no Amazon Prime Video), uma produção francesa dirigida e interpretada por Franck Gastambide vinha fazendo muito sucesso na França, onde foi lançada nos cinemas.
O filme narra a história de três franceses que resolvem viajar à Colômbia para resgatar o irmão de um deles que foi sequestrado pelo cartel de Medellin.
O sucesso vem do fato que o filme é uma sucessão de piadas e cenas engraçadas, satirizando tramas (hoje muito comuns) de missões ao terceiro mundo para enfrentar tropas paramilitares por algum motivo.
Só que aqui nada é levado a sério. O humor non sense arrasa em todas as situações, sacrificando inclusive o bom gosto e algumas regras, investindo pelo trash.
Uma surpresa agradável é a atriz cubana Essined Aponte, já vista em S.W.A.T., que vive a agente americana Marissa que ajuda os desastrados membros do plano de resgate.
Até Mike Tyson dá o ar da graça com uma participação especial.
Claro que o filme abre mão de qualquer reflexão sobre narco tráfico, a atual busca desmesurada de fama e seguidores nas redes sociais ou o papel dos países desenvolvidos em situações como a da Colômbia. O foco é apenas fazer humor.
Neste propósito, o filme atinge seu objetivo.
Nunca irá figurar em algum registro de filmes mais importantes, mas consegue divertir.
