GLENDA JACKSON: Atriz de Excelência Morre aos 87 Anos

Tenho resistido a referir a morte de pessoas do cinema. Não quero fazer desse blog uma coluna de obituário.

Mas não posso deixar de registrar a morte da atriz inglesa Glenda Jackson, ontem, aos 87 anos.

Glenda foi uma de minhas atrizes favoritas nos anos 70. Ganhou dois Oscars de Melhor Atriz, por MULHERES APAIXONADAS e UM TOQUE DE CLASSE.

Atuou em 53 filmes.

Sempre elevou muito o nível da arte de representar nos filmes em que trabalhou.

Essa vai fazer muita falta.

I have resisted mentioning the death of people in the cinema. I don’t want to make this blog an obituary column.

But I cannot fail to register the death of the English actress Glenda Jackson, yesterday, at the age of 87.

Glenda was one of my favorite actresses in the 70’s. She won two Oscars for Best Actress, for WOMEN IN LOVE and A TOUCH OF CLASS.

She acted in 53 films.

She has always raised the bar for acting in the films she has worked on.

This one will be greatly missed.
