EXTRACTION II: Os Irmãos Russo Voltam a Acertar um Descartável Filme de Ação Pura

Está no ar na NETFLIX, o filme EXTRACTION II, dirigido por Sam Hargrave mas produzido e roteirizado pelos irmãos Anthony e Joe Russo, que tinham cometido o ruim CITADEL, depois de ótimos filmes de super heróis na MARVEL.

Chris Hemsworth volta à cena como Tyler Rake, um ex-mariner, hoje mercenário disposto a encarar missões impossíveis de resgate. Na primeira ele quase morreu no divertido EXTRACTION. Tanto que o misterioso personagem de Idris Elba brinca com a cena final do primeiro filme.

Essa cena dá o tom de EXTRACTION II. Uma produção tecnicamente impecável, com uma história de um resgate impossível, onde os mocinhos matam vilões (aqui são assassinos georgianos) a granel, em cenas de ação que não deixam tempo para o espectador respirar (ou pensar).

O filme ainda tem a atriz iraniana Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Mariami Kovziashvili e um cameo de Olga Kurylenko.

Dizer que a trama é tola seria chover no molhado.

Esse tipo de filme – desde que não se leve a sério – tem como propósito diversão pura.

Na minha opinião, EXTRACTION II atinge seu objetivo.

Mesmo que 24 horas depois a gente mal se lembre do que viu.

It’s on NETFLIX, the film EXTRACTION II, directed by Sam Hargrave but produced and scripted by the brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, who had committed the bad CITADEL, after great superhero films at MARVEL.

Chris Hemsworth returns to the scene as Tyler Rake, a former mariner, now a mercenary willing to face impossible rescue missions. In the first one he almost died in the fun EXTRACTION. So much so that the mysterious character of Idris Elba plays with the final scene of the first film.

This scene sets the tone for EXTRACTION II. A technically impeccable production, with a story of an impossible rescue, where the good guys kill villains (here they are Georgian assassins) in bulk, in action scenes that leave no time for the viewer to breathe (or think).

The film also features Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Mariami Kovziashvili and a cameo by Olga Kurylenko.

To say that the plot is silly would be an understatement.

This type of movie – as long as it doesn’t take itself seriously – is meant to be pure entertainment.

In my opinion, EXTRACTION II achieves its objective.

Even if 24 hours later we barely remember what we saw.
