Estréia em 21 de setembro de 2023, o filme DRIVE-AWAY GIRLS (algo como GAROTAS DE CARRO), o novo filme do cineasta Ethan Coen. Como fez o irmão Joel, Ethan aqui dirige um filme solo.
Duas meninas resolvem cair na estrada. Mas o carro que alugam para descer os Estados Unidos até Talahassee, Flórida tem no porta malas uma maleta com valores e história. As duas vão ser perseguidas pelos bandidos atrás da maleta.
O elenco do filme é dos mais estimulantes. As duas protagonistas são Margareth Quailey (de ERA UMA VEZ EM HOLLYWOOD) e a australiana Geraldine Viswanathan (do ótimo BAD EDUCATION). Com elas estão a excelente Beanie Feldstein, Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, Bill Camp e Annie Gonzalez.
Pelo trailer o novo road movie (sempre um tema de interesse) de Etah Coen mantém o mesmo tipo de narrativa da filmografia dos irmãos~aos: histórias non sense, muita a’c~ao e um senso de humor muito próprio deles.

The film’s cast is among the most stimulating. The two protagonists are Margareth Quailey (from ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD) and the Australian Geraldine Viswanathan (from the great BAD EDUCATION). With them are the excellent Beanie Feldstein, Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, Bill Camp and Annie Gonzalez.
From the trailer, the new road movie (always a topic of interest) by Etah Coen maintains the same kind of narrative as the brothers’ filmography: nonsense stories, lots of action and a sense of humor very much their own.
I’m already signed up to see the movie as soon as it’s released.
The Coen story deserves it.
