Fui ao cinema ver QUE HORAS EU TE PEGO? (NO HARD FEELINGS), comédia dirigida pelo americano Gene Stupnitsky.
Não há dúvida que o filme existe por Jennifer Lawrence. A atriz ganhadora do Oscar por SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK (e que aos trinta e três anos já tem três outras indicações) mostra todo seu Star Power em NO HARD FEELINGS. Ela é um furacão cada vez que aparece em cena.
Maddie Barker é uma jovem de Montauk, estado de Nova Iorque, que jamais saiu de sua cidade e está vendo o tempo passar. Ganha a vida como motorista de Uber e como garçonete de um bar que serve os ricos que vão passar o verão na cidade.
Um dia, perde o carro por dívidas e fica próxima da falência. Aceita então um anúncio de um casal rico (Matthew Broderick e Laura Benanti maravilhosos) que quer uma mulher de vinte anos (Maddie tem 32) para iniciar seu filho nerd no sexo e na vida.
Há muitos temas interessantes abordados de passagem por NO HARD FEELINGS. O abismo entre a vida de ricos e pessoas normais, a super proteção de pais e mães sufocando os filhos, o preconceito com mulheres sexualmente liberadas, a arrogância dos jovens somente porque vão para universidades caríssimas e por aí vai.
Mas aprofundar algum desses temas não é o propósito do filme de Stupnitsky. Ele quer divertir. E, com a graça de Jennifer, acerta seu alvo.
O roteiro capricha nas frases de duplo sentido, nas cenas tangenciando o erótico e nas situações descaradamente amorais.
Há muitas piadas maravilhosas no filme. Apenas para citar uma delas. Quando Maddie intima o jovem Percy Becker (o ótimo Andrew Barth Feldman) a nadar nu com ela, ele sai com “não foi assim que TUBARÃO iniciou?”
Ri muito no filme.
Achei o final meio conformado e cor de rosa demais.
Mas não impede de que NO HARD FEELINGS, principalmente graças a Jennifer Lawrence, seja uma comédia muito, mas muito engraçada.

There is no doubt that the film exists for Jennifer Lawrence. The Oscar-winning actress for SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK (and who at thirty-three already has three other nominations) shows all her Star Power in NO HARD FEELINGS. She is a hurricane every time she appears on the scene.
Maddie Barker is a young woman from Montauk, state of New York, who has never left her city and is seeing time pass. She earns her living as an Uber driver and as a waitress at a bar that caters to the rich who come to the city for the summer.
One day, she loses her car due to debt and is close to bankruptcy. She then accepts an ad from a wealthy couple (wonderful Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti) who want a twenty-year-old woman (Maddie is 32) to introduce their nerdy son to sex and life.
There are many interesting topics covered in passing by NO HARD FEELINGS. The abyss between the lives of rich people and normal people, the overprotection of fathers and mothers smothering their children, the prejudice against sexually liberated women, the arrogance of young people just because they go to very expensive universities and so on.
But going deeper into any of these themes is not the purpose of Stupnitsky’s film. He wants to have fun. And, with Jennifer’s grace, he hits his mark.
The script pays attention to double meaning phrases, scenes touching on the erotic and blatantly amoral situations.
There are many wonderful jokes in the film. Just to name one of them. When Maddie asks young Percy Becker (the great Andrew Barth Feldman) to go skinny dipping with her, he leaves with “Isn’t that how JAWS started?”
I laughed a lot in the movie.
I found the ending a bit resigned and too pink.
But that doesn’t stop NO HARD FEELINGS, mainly thanks to Jennifer Lawrence, from being a very, very funny comedy.
