OS INICIADOS: Da Colômbia Vem um Surpreendente Blade Runner do Terceiro Mundo

A Amazon Prime Vídeo está exibindo o novíssimo thriller colombiano LOS INICIADOS, dirigido pelo cineasta Juan Felipe Orozco. O filme se baseia nos livros do escritor Mario Mendoza.

Em um futuro próximo, a água é o recurso natural escasso e, por isso mesmo o mais valioso. As cidades vivem sob uma chuva ácida que envenena a população. O visual do filme lembra muito (não pode ser casual) o da obra prima de Ridley Scott, BLADE RUNNER.

Dois jornalistas uma jovem que ganha a vida como lutadora, resolvem levar a fundo uma investigação sobre um assassinato que pode indicar que a falta de água esteja a serviço de alguém.

Claro que os três passam imediatamente a ser perseguidos, pela direção do jornal, pela Polícia e pelos poderosos de plantão. A ninguém interessa mudar o status quo.

O filme tem 111 minutos e o diretor Orozco revela surpreendente controle da trama e de seus personagens.

Andrés Parra, Aria Jara e Juan Pablo Urrego são os principais nomes do elenco.

Com recursos de produção modestos, o resultado final do filme é positivamente surpreendente. A gente vê o filme quase sem fôlego.

O final é muito contundente e bem elaborado.

Amazon Prime Video is showing the brand new Colombian thriller LOS INICIADOS, directed by filmmaker Juan Felipe Orozco. The film is based on the books by author Mario Mendoza.

In the near future, water is a scarce natural resource and, therefore, the most valuable. Cities live under acid rain that poisons the population. The look of the film is very reminiscent (it can’t be casual) of Ridley Scott’s masterpiece, BLADE RUNNER.

Two journalists, a young woman who earns her living as a fighter, decide to carry out an investigation into a murder that could indicate that the lack of water is at someone’s service.

Of course, the three are immediately pursued by the newspaper’s management, by the police and by the powerful on duty. No one is interested in changing the status quo.

The film is 111 minutes long and director Orozco reveals surprising control over the plot and its characters.

Andrés Parra, Aria Jara and Juan Pablo Urrego are the main names in the cast.

With modest production resources, the end result of the film is positively surprising. We watch the film almost out of breath.

The ending is very blunt and well crafted.
