Ontem fui maratona a segunda temporada de O PODER E A LEI ITHE LICONL LAWYER), série da NETFLIX baseada nos livros de Michael Connelly.
No melhor da trama, termina a Parte Um da Segunda temporada. A conclusão da história somente estará disponível em 03 de agosto.
O fato de as três semanas de espera parecerem angustiantes evidencia que a história me pegou.
Micky Haller é um advogado criminalista de Los Angeles cheio de truques para absolver seus clientes. Uma das marcas dele é dizer aos clientes que o fato deles serem ou não inocentes é irrelevante porque ele vai lutar por suas absolvições haja o que houver.
Com o passar dos episódios, o ator Manuel Garcia-Rulfo desce melhor como Haller. Acho que a gente vai se acostumando com ele. Os destaques seguem sendo as mulheres da série. Neve Campbell como a ex-esposa número um, Becki Newton, como a ex-esposa número dois, Jazz Raycole, como a motorista do Lincoln e a suspeitíssima cliente sedutora, Lana Parrilla. Ainda tem a fria Promotora de Justiça Yaya DaCosta, puro charme.
A produção impecável, LA linda como sempre e as histórias sensacionais da mente de Connelly (na minha opinião o melhor dos atuais escritores de thrillers legais) asseguram diversão na medida exata.
Pena que vamos ter que esperar até 03 de agosto.

The fact that the three weeks of waiting felt excruciating is evidence that the story got to me.
Micky Haller is a Los Angeles criminal lawyer full of tricks to acquit his clients. One of his hallmarks is telling clients that whether or not they are innocent is irrelevant because he will fight for their acquittals come what may.
As the episodes went by, actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo came down better as Haller. I think people are getting used to it. The highlights are still the women of the series. Neve Campbell as ex-wife number one, Becki Newton as ex-wife number two, Jazz Raycole as the driver of the Lincoln and the suspiciously seductive client, Lana Parrilla. We still have the cold prosecutor Yaya DACosta, pure charm.
Impeccable production, LA as beautiful as ever, and sensational stories from the mind of Connelly (in my opinion the best of today’s legal thriller writers) ensure just the right amount of fun.
Too bad we’ll have to wait until August 3rd.
