FEAR THE KNIGHT: Maggie Q e Neil LaBute Vêm Juntos em Thriller de Ação

O diretor Neil LaBute já foi considerado diferenciado por seu cinema em títulos como IN THE COMPANY OF MEN e FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. Mas o tenebroso THE WICKER MAN, com Nicholas Cage quase sepultou a carreira dele. La Bute tem dirigido alguns episódios de séries (BILLIONS) e recentemente fez o interessante OUT OF THE BLUE, com Diane Kruger.

Nesta dia 21 de julho estréia no VOD, o thriller FEAR THE NIGHT, dirigido por Neil La Bute. Entra no sub-gênero “invasão de casas”.

Mas também se insere numa lista de filmes de ação em que as heroínas que partem para a porrada são mulheres.

Aqui é Maggie Q (DESIGNATED SURVIVOR) quem vive a protagonista Tess, uma veterana da Guerra do Iraque que vai com a irmã e umas amigas para uma casa isolada fazer uma despedida de solteira.

Tudo vira terror quando um grupo de violentos marginais locais atacam a casa durante a noite.

Surpreendentemente, li algumas críticas positivas sobre o filme. No trailer parece mais do mesmo.

Será que La Bute e Maggie Q conseguiram criar algo interessante? A ver.

But it is also part of a list of action films in which the heroines who go to bat are women.

Here is Maggie Q (DESIGNATED SURVIVOR) who lives the protagonist Tess, an Iraq War veteran who goes with her sister and some friends to an isolated house for a bachelorette party.

Everything turns to terror when a group of violent local thugs attack the house during the night.

Surprisingly, I read some positive reviews about the film. In the trailer it looks like more of the same.
