Pois a série HIJACK, da Apple TV+ chegou a seu final, com o sétimo episódio.
Sam, o personagem de Idris Elba, a bordo de um vôo Dubai-Londres, sequestrado por um grupo de pessoas, mostrou todo seu talento de negociador. Muitas vezes, teve que ceder e concordar com os vilões, para poder avançar em seus objetivos de salvar a vida de todos.
O plano do sequestro era brilhante. As cabeças pensantes escolheram pessoas que, temendo por suas famílias em terra, aceitaram fazer o sequestro do avião. Em terra, os bandidos faziam os familiares reféns, para se certificar que a bordo, as ordens seriam cumpridas.
O motivo do sequestro não era ideológico, terrorismo ou alguma idéia revanchista. Era a boa e velha ganância de ganhar milhões de libras derrubando os preços das acções da companhia aérea proprietária do avião ameaçado. Dinheiro segue sendo um motivo relevante para as maldades humanas.
Há muitos aspectos originais e bastante interessantes na trama de HIJACK. Os meandros das decisões governamentais sobre a reação ao sequestro, guiadas por vaidades, intenções eleitorais futuras e alianças políticas, muito mais que a vida dos passageiros, foi um dos destaques.
As possibilidades da ciranda financeira que hoje move o mundo foi outro aspecto relevante que ganhou destaque na trama.
A abnegação de controladores aéreos nas várias cidades envolvidas e seu código de honra de colocar o vôo em primeiro lugar também teve relevância.
E, na minha opinião, o melhor de tudo foi a possibilidade de resolver problemas e crises negociando. A arte da negociação, em um mundo tão complicado como o nosso, cresce de importância dia a dia. Quem souber isso, está bem mais próximo de resolver a crise seguinte.
Well, the series HIJACK, from Apple TV+, has come to an end with the seventh episode.
Sam, the character of Idris Elba, on board a Dubai-London flight, kidnapped by a group of people, showed all his talent as a negotiator. Many times, he had to give in and agree with the villains, in order to advance in his goals of saving everyone’s lives.
The kidnapping plan was brilliant. The thinking heads chose simple people who, fearing for their families on the ground, agreed to hijack the plane. On land, the bandits took family members hostage, to make sure that on board, orders would be fulfilled.
The reason for the kidnapping was not ideological, terrorism or any revanchist idea. It was the good old-fashioned greed of making millions of pounds by driving down the share prices of the airline that owned the threatened plane. Money continues to be a relevant reason for human evil.
There are many original and very interesting aspects to the plot of HIJACK. The intricacies of government decisions on the reaction to the hijacking, guided by vanities, future electoral intentions and political alliances, much more than the lives of passengers, was one of the highlights.
The possibilities of the financial ciranda that moves the world today was another relevant aspect that gained prominence in the plot.
The selflessness of air traffic controllers in the various cities involved and their code of honor to put flying first was also relevant.
And, in my opinion, the best of all was the possibility of solving problems and crises by negotiating. The art of negotiation, in a world as complicated as ours, grows in importance day by day. Anyone who knows this is much closer to resolving the next crisis.
