Eu acho a série BILLIONS uma das melhores de todos os tempos. Inclusive entendo que pela aridez do tema – a ciranda financeira – é injustiçada e pouco reconhecida.
Por isso, a notícia de que neste próximo dia 11 de agosto de 2023, estréia a sétima e última temporada de BILLIONS me dá um misto de alegria e tristeza.
Acho que as estripulias e brigas entre Bobby Axelrod (Damien Lewis) e o Procurador de NY, Chuck Roades (Paul Giamatti) já renderam episódios e cenas inesquecíveis.
Mas o melhor de BILLIONS é que, como raras vezes ocorre, os personagens coadjuvantes brilham ainda mais que os protagonistas. Sou encantado com a psicóloga Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff, incrível), com o braço direito de Axe, Mike Wags (um trabalho excepcional de David Costabile), o Pai de Chuck (Jeffrey DeMunn) e tantos outros.
As participações especiais de gente como john Malkovich ou Maria Sharapova sempre enriqueceram a série.
BILLIONS certamente se inscreve como a série de melhores roteiros das últimas décadas. Suas tramas e o desenvolvimento delas são impecáveis.E olha que eu pessoalmente acho esses temas financeiros muito chatos. Aqui são ótimos de se ver.
Pena que essa turma vai sair do ar.
Mas ficarão para sempre em nossa memória afetiva.

I think the antics and fights between Bobby Axelrod (Damien Lewis) and NY Attorney Chuck Roades (Paul Giamatti) have already yielded unforgettable episodes and scenes.
But the best thing about BILLIONS is that, as rarely happens, the supporting characters shine even more than the protagonists. I am delighted with psychologist Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff, incredible), with Axe’s right hand man, Mike Wags (an exceptional work by David Costabile), Chuck’s Father (Jeffrey DeMunn) and many others.
Special appearances by people like John Malkovich or Maria Sharapova have always enriched the series.
BILLIONS certainly ranks as the best scripted series of the last few decades. Its plots and their development are impeccable. And I personally find these financial topics very boring. Here they are great to see.
Too bad this class is going off the air.
But they will remain forever in our affectionate memory.
