Além da assinatura ilustre de Soderbergh, o elenco da série é seu grande ativo: Claire Dennis, Denis Quaid, Timothy Olyphant, Zazie Beetz, CCH Pounder e William Sadler.
Há muitos temas envolvidos na complexa trama de Soderbergh, entre os quais o abismo entre ricos e pobres, a discriminação policial sobre minorias, as tensões familiares, fanatismo religioso.
Confesso que, na minha opinião, a série se perdeu entre tantas vertentes, enfraquecendo sua história principal.
De qualquer sorte, sempre é interessante ver o cinema de Soderbergh, um cineasta de muito talento e com histórias interessantes para contar.
I just finished watching the six chapters of FULL CIRCLE, Steven Soderbergh‘s crime series, on display at STAR+.
The kidnapping of a rich Manhattan boy goes completely wrong when the gang responsible misses out on the wrong person.
In addition to Soderbergh’s illustrious signature, the series’ cast is its greatest asset: Claire Dennis, Dennis Quaid, Timothy Olyphant, Zazie Beetz, CCH Pounder and William Sadler.
There are many themes involved in Soderbergh’s complex plot, including the gap between rich and poor, police discrimination against minorities, family tensions and religion’s fanatism.
I confess that, in my opinion, the series was lost among so many strands, weakening its main story.
Anyway, it’s always interesting to see Soderbergh’s cinema, a very talented filmmaker with interesting stories to tell.
