HARLAN COBEN’S SHELTER: Muito Mistério na Trama do Mestre Coben

Já escrevo aqui que Harlan Coben é um dos maiores nomes do entretenimento atual. É impressionante a quantidade de filmes e séries – de todas as nacionalidades – baseados em livros dele.

SHELTER é mais um título desses, em cartaz no Amazon Prime Video.

Um jovem traumatizado pela morte do pai em um acidente de carro volta a New Jerry para fazer o College, morando com a tia.

Ao chegar lá, se apaixona por uma menina que desaparece no dia de um encontro agendado entre eles.

Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, Sage Linder e Didi Cohn estão no elenco.

Como é ususal nos enredos de Coen, nada é o que parece.

O pai de Mickey estará mesmo morto? Onde anda a jovem Ashley Kent? Qual o mistério envolvendo a casa velha conhecida como Shelter? Qual o papel da tia no sumiço de um menino décadas atrás?

Vi os três primeiros capítulos disponíveis. Não parece ser a melhor história de Coben, mas tem muitos atrativos.

TELL NO ONE segue, para mim, sendo sua melhor história.

I already wrote here that Harlan Coben is one of the biggest names in current entertainment. The number of films and series – of all nationalities – based on his books is impressive.

SHELTER is another such title, playing on Amazon Prime Video.

A young man traumatized by his father’s death in a car accident returns to New Jerry to attend college, living with his aunt.

Upon arriving there, he falls in love with a girl who disappears on the day of a scheduled meeting between them.

Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, Sage Linder and Didi Cohn are in the cast.

As usual in Coen’s plots, nothing is what it seems.

Is Mickey’s father really dead? Where is young Ashley Kent? What is the mystery surrounding the old house known as the Shelter? What was the role of the aunt in the disappearance of a boy decades ago?

I saw the first three available chapters. It doesn’t sound like Coben’s best story, but it has a lot of appeal.

TELL NO ONE remains, for me, his best story.
