Vi os dois primeiros capítulos (os disponíveis por enquanto no Disney +) da nova série da LUCASFILM, AHSOKA.
A ex-Jedi Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson, em caracterização impressionante) está atrás dos resquíciossde resistência do extinto Império. aquele mesmo que Obi Wan, Luke, Han Solo e Lea Organa destruíram para salvar a Galáxia far far away.
O mais interessante é que nessa série, disparadamente as personagens mais interessantes (e dominantes) são mulheres. Além da protagonista Ahsoka, temos a Padawan Sabine Wren (a atriz australiana ascendente Natasha Liu Bordizzo) um personagem marcante que domina as cenas em que aparece. Não à toa, sua primeira aparição é quando se nega a participar de uma cerimônia oficial careta do Governador azada (Clancy Brown, de HIGHLANDER). No cast de mocinhos ainda se destaca a General Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)
E ainda há, do lado do mal, a jovem Shin Hati (a ucraniana Ivana Sakhno) e a sinistra Morgan Elsbeth (a americana Dianna Lee Inosanto). E o recentemente falecido Ray Stevenson.
Em resumo, lá como cá, “women rule”.
Gostei muito do início de AHSOKA. Achei a trama criativa, interessante e promissora.
Star Wars – histórias que me fascinam desde 1977 – segue gerando filhotes maravilhosos.
I saw the first two chapters (the ones available for now on Disney +) of the new LUCASFILM series, AHSOKA.
Ex-Jedi Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson, in stunning characterization) is after the remnants of resistance from the defunct Empire. the same one that Obi Wan, Luke, Han Solo and Lea Organa destroyed to save the Galaxy far far away.
The most interesting thing is that in this series, by far the most interesting (and dominant) characters are women. In addition to the protagonist Ahsoka, we have the Padawan Sabine Wren (the rising Australian actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo) a striking character who dominates the scenes in which she appears. No wonder, her first appearance is when she refuses to participate in an official ceremony of the unlucky Governor (Clancy Brown, from HIGHLANDER). In the cast of good guys, General Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) still stands out.
And there is still, on the side of evil, the young Shin Hati (Ukrainian Ivana Sakhno) and the sinister Morgan Elsbeth (American Dianna Lee Inosanto). And the great Ray Stevenson, who recently passed away.
In short, there as here, “women rule”.
I really enjoyed the beginning of AHSOKA. I found the plot creative, interesting and promising.
Star Wars – stories that have fascinated me since 1977 – continues to spawn wonderful offspring.
