GEMMA BOVERY: Um Encantador Filme Francês Sobre Paixões e Ciúmes

A Amazon Prime Vídeo está mostrando o filme francês GEMMA BOVERY, que a cineasta Anne Fontaine, dirigiu em 2004.

O excelente ator francês Fabrice Luchini vive Martin Joubert, um padeiro de excelência que volta à Normandia para assumir a Boulangerie que fora de seu falecido pai.

Ali ele conhece a encantadora Gemma Bovery, uma jovem inglesa que se muda com o marido Charlie (Jason Flemyng) para a casa vizinha. Ela é Gemma Arterton, atriz britânica que até Bond Girl já foi, no errático QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Gemma ilumina todas as cenas, justificando a fixação que Martin tem por ela.

O padeiro loga liga os nomes e vê nos recém chegados uma reedição dos personagens clássicos de Gustave Flaubert, em MADAME BOVARY, inúmeras vezes citado no filme.

Há muitas cenas engraçadas no filme, embora ele esteja mais para drama que para comédia. As diferenças entre franceses e ingleses, por exemplo, rendem ótimos diálogos.

É que o charme dos atores, criando personagens tão interessantes com sentimentos extremos, nos proporciona situações muito divertidas.
