Para quem vê muitos filmes e séries policiais que vêm de todas as latitudes do mundo (especialmente depois do streaming), a busca por algum enfoque novo e criativo é uma constante.
Ontem, no NOW (tem também no app MHZ da Amazon), fiquei conhecendo a série francesa CRIMES TROPICAIS (TROPIQUES CRIMINELS), que já tem três temporadas.
Melissa Saint-Rose (a atriz nascida em Ruanda Sonia Rolland) é uma policial transferida de Paris para a Ilha da Martinica. Ela vai com o casal de filhos, buscando uma nova vida nos trópicos.
Ali, além da paisagem paradisíaca, ela vai encontrar a Tenente Gaelle Crivelli (divertida criação de Beatrice de la Bouyale), uma detetive local cuja vida profissional e pessoal não pode estar mais de pernas para o ar.
As duas vão compor um time dedicado, inspirado e meio anárquico na investigação e solução de crimes meio bizarros com que se deparam.
Embora os crimes sejam violentos, o tom da narrativa é mais leve, tangenciando por muitas vezes o cômico.
Vi três episódios da primeira temporada. Acho que os produtores acertaram, principalmente no link entre o ambiente visualmente deslumbrante da Martinica e as tramas policiais. Cada episódios tem a história de um crime, até sua solução.
Padrão, mas muito divertido.

I saw three episodes of the first season. I think the producers got it right, especially with the link between the visually stunning environment of Martinique and the police plots. Each episode has the story of a crime, until its solution.
Standard, but really fun.
