Como todas as produções do HALLMARK, existem recursos de ponta investidos no filme, o elenco é interessante e as histórias bem pensadas.
Onde tudo fica meio pasteurizado é na filosofia do canal de atenuar cenas e situações mais apimentadas.
Em Francesca Quinn, P.I., a protagonista vivida pela atriz australiana Mallory Jansen se vê às voltas com o assassinato de seu novo, o polêmico escritor Carl Wiseman (Derek Kun). Ao lado dela na investigação estão o ex-namorado dela, o Detetive Wynton Rosseau (Dylan Bruce) e o Pai dela, Jim Quinn, Chefe de Polícia (Paul Essiembre). A vilã é sua ex-madrasta, Megan Quinn que está na prisão por ter cometido seis crimes.
Nada é muito profundo. Por exemplo, o assassinato de Carl mal aparece, embora haja várias cenas da faca que o matou manchada de sangue. Cenas de sexo são raras, e quando há, bem soft.
Gosto muito de histórias de detetives particulares, os P.I.s
Claro que a Francesca Quinn, por mais bem intencionada que seja nem chefa perto dos clássicos Phillip Marlowe, Sam Spade e Sherlock Holmes.

Like all HALLMARK productions, there are cutting-edge resources invested in the film, the cast is interesting and the stories are well thought out.
Where everything gets a bit pasteurized is in the channel’s philosophy of toning down more spicy scenes and situations.
In Francesca Quinn, P.I., the protagonist played by Australian actress Mallory Jansen finds herself dealing with the murder of her boyfriend, the controversial writer Carl Wiseman (Derek Kun). Alongside her in the investigation are her ex-boyfriend, Detective Wynton Rosseau (Dylan Bruce) and her father, Jim Quinn, Chief of Police (Paul Essiembre). The villain is her ex-stepmother, Megan Quinn, who is in prison for having committed six crimes.
Nothing is too deep. For example, Carl’s murder barely appears, although there are several scenes of the knife that killed him being stained with blood. Sex scenes are rare, and when there are, they are very soft.
I really like stories about private detectives, P.I.s
Of course, Francesca Quinn, no matter how well-intentioned she is, is nowhere near the classics Phillip Marlowe, Sam Spade and Sherlock Holmes.
