Antes de se tornar astro de filmes de ação de gosto duvidoso, Neeson tem , entre os quase 150 filmes em que atuou ótimos trabalhos em filmes merecidamente elogiados. O melhor, é claro, A LISTA DE SCHINDLER, de Steven Spielberg. Mas tem MICHAEL COLLINS, ROB ROY, KINSEY, CHLOE, os BATMANS de Christopher Nolan, todos ótimos.
Esse UNDER SUSPICION foi dirigido por Simon Moore, em 1991. Moore foi roteirista de TRAFFIC e THE QUICK AND THE DEAD, outros dois títulos de excelência.
Aqui Neeson vive o ex-policial Tony Aaron que cai em desgraça quando viola as regras básicas de uma vigilância e vai transar com a esposa do suspeito. O final trágico do episódio faz com que os policiais do balneário de Brighton fiquem contra ele.
Aaron casa com a moça e vira Detetive Particular, especializado em forjar flagrantes de adultério para viabilizar divórcios.
Certo dia, outra vez, tudo dá errado e Aaron se vê como principal suspeito de um duplo assassinato.
Laura San Giacomo (aquela de PRETTY WOMAN e SEX, LIES AND VIDEOTAPES) vive a femme fatale do caso.
A trama tem muita coisa interessante. Há vários twists no roteiro que garantem o interesse do espectador. E o ar decadente dos personagens acentua o tom noir do filme.
Gostei de ver. É um bom filme policial.

Here Neeson lives or ex-policeman Tony Aaron who fell into disgrace when he violated the basic rules of surveillance and went to deal with a suspicious wife. The tragic end of the episode faces the police of the Brighton seaside resort against him.
Aaron married a girl and became a Private Detective, specialized in forging flagrants of adultery to make divorces viable.
One day, another time, everything is wrong and Aaron sees himself as the main suspect in a double murder.
Laura San Giacomo (from PRETTY WOMAN and SEX, LIES AND VIDEOTAPES) lives the femme fatale in this case.
A very interesting plot. There are several twists that do not guarantee the interest of the viewer. And the decadent two characters accentuate the film’s noir aspect.
I enjoyed seeing. It’s a very good cop film.
