Meu amigo Isaac Menda reviu (pela enésima vez) o filme DEU A LOUCA NO MUNDO, de Stanley Kraemer (1963), no Amazon Prime Video. Isaac me enviou uma provocação para eu colocar no CINEMARCO, um post perguntando “qual a melhor comédia de todos os tempos?”
O próprio Isaac admite que as listas de melhores de todos os tempos elegem QUANTO MAIS QUENTE MELHOR, de Billy Wilder (1959) como a número um.
Mas ele segue achando que DEU A LOUCA NO MUNDO é mais perfeita.
Para apimentar a discussão, acrescentei duas outras comédias que eu considero deste mesmo altíssimo nível: são O JOVEM FRANKENSTEIN, de Mel Brooks (1974) e UM CONVIDADO BEM TRAPALHÃO, de Blake Edwards (1968).
Claro que poderiam ser citadas várias outras comédias antológicas. Sinta-se livre para palpitar.
Deixo claro que exclui da enquete, as comédias dramáticas (alô Woody Allen e filmes tipo MUITO ALÉM DO JARDIM) e as comédias românticas (tipo UMA LINDA MULHER ou BONEQUINHA DE LUXO). Acho que correm outro campeonato.
Aqui falamos de comédias puras, se é que existem.

My friend Isaac Menda rewatched (for the umpteenth time) the film IT’S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD, by Stanley Kraemer (1963), on Amazon Prime Video. Isaac sent me a message for me to put on CINEMARCO, a post asking “what is the best comedy of all time?”
Isaac himself admits that the best of all time lists choose SOME LIKE IT HOT, by Billy Wilder (1959) as number one.
But he still thinks that IT’S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD is more perfect.
To spice up the discussion, I added two other comedies that I consider to be at the same high level: THE YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, by Mel Brooks (1974) and THE PARTY, by Blake Edwards (1968).
Of course, several other anthological comedies could be mentioned. Feel free to guess.
I make it clear that I exclude from the poll, dramatic comedies (hello Woody Allen and films like BEING THERE) and romantic comedies (like PRETTY WOMAN or Breakfast at Tiffany’s). I think they are running another championship.
Here we talk about pure comedies, if they exist.
