O ponto de partida de OPERATION NAPOLEON, em cartaz no Amazon Prime, é bem paranoico. O Governo americano teria feito um acordo nos últimos dias da Segunda Guerra Mundial para salvar Hitler em troca do tesouro que os nazistas roubaram durante toda a guerra. O plano estria a bordo de um avião que caiu numa geleira na Islândia. Com o aquecimento global, o derretimento da geleira expõe os restos do avião.
A malice da história não impede de se ter um bom filme de espionagem.
O governo dos EUA, os nazistas redivivos, ambientalistas e historiadores, todo mundo vai atrás dos restos do avião.
O vilão é o ótimo ator Iain Glen. A mocinha é a linda atriz islandesa Vivian Ólafsdóttir, um nome impronunciável.
Morre gente a granel durante o filme. Há até espaço para uma bandida que tortura e mata com um lápis número dois bem apontado.
OPERAÇÃO NAPOLEÃO é daqueles filmes que a cada cena revela alguma pessoa que está no grupo dos vilões. É uma narrativa bem antiga.
Mas que serve para prender a atenção.

The American government reportedly made a deal in the final days of World War II to save Hitler in exchange for the treasure that the Nazis stole throughout the war. The plan involved aboard a plane that crashed into a glacier in Iceland. With global warming, the melting of the glacier exposes the remains of the plane.
The evil of the story doesn’t prevent it from being a good spy film.
The US government, Nazi revivalists, environmentalists and historians, everyone is going after the remains of the plane.
The villain is the great actor Iain Glen. The young lady is the beautiful Icelandic actress Vivian Ólafsdóttir, an unpronounceable name.
Lots of people die during the film. There’s even room for a bandit who tortures and kills with a well-sharpened number two pencil.
OPERATION NAPOLEON is one of those films that in each scene reveals someone who is in the group of villains. It’s a very old narrative.
But it serves to capture attention.
It’s a very reasonable adventure.
