Estréia amanhã na Apple TV+, a série policial inglesa CRIMINAL RECORD, com a excepcional atriz britânica Cush Jumbo e expressivo Peter Capaldi. O criador do show é Paul Rutman (VERA e FIVE DAYS).
Dois policiais ingleses se vêem às voltas com uma investigação que pode reverter uma condenação histórica, demonstrando que o réu foi vítima de preconceito racial.
O trailer é de matar. Suspense, drama, racismo, vem tudo junto.

No domingo estréia na HBO, THE TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY, a volta da consagrada série, agora narrando uma trama estrelada pela extraordinária Jodie Foster. Sou fã de carteirinha de Jodie Foster desde A GAROTA DO FINAL DA RUA, TAXI DRIVER e BUGSY MALONE, na década de 70. Já era uma atriz diferenciada. Claro que a Clarice Starling de O SILÊNCIO DOS INOCENTES foi seu ponto máximo, um trabalho antológico.
A série TRUE DETECTIVE foi excelente em sue primeiro ano, com Matthew McConaughey e Woody Harrelson. Das melhores coisas que já vi na TV. Depois foi caindo e ficou apenas um bom show.
THE NIGHT COUNTRY coloca Foster como a Detetive Liz Danvers que, junto com a colega Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) vão ao Alaska investigar o desaparecimento de seis pessoas em uma estação de pesquisa.

I’ve been a die-hard fan of Jodie Foster since THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE, TAXI DRIVER and BUGSY MALONE, in the 70s. She was already a distinguished actress. Of course, Clarice Starling in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS was her peak, an anthological work.
The TRUE DETECTIVE series was excellent in its first year, with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. One of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV. Then it went downhill and it was just a good show.
