Fiz parte do evento Cine Psiquiatria, no sábado 13 de janeiro de 2024, no GNC Praia de Belas. O filme apresentado foi WONKA, de Paul King. A promoção é da Associação Cyro martins e visa desmistificar os transtornos mentais. Um belo debate se seguiu à apresentação do filme.
WONKA traz a terceira vez do personagem criado por Roald Dhal nas telas. Já teve Gene Wilder, Johnny Depp e agora, o astro da moda Timothée Chalamet.
O filme de King é visualmente muito bonito e tem uma história lúdica e terna muito acima da média.
Wonka é um jovem pobre que, por empenho da falecida mãe, desenvolveu um talento único em fazer chocolates. Os chocolates de Wonka, como ele, têm o dom de provocar emoções positivas nas pessoas.
Wonka, sem dinheiro, se vê vítima de um casal de vigaristas que prendem pessoas pobres em um hotel pulgueiro para trabalharem de graça para eles. Ela é a notável Olivia Colman. Ele é Tom Davis.
Wonka sonha em abrir uma loja de chocolates. Mas para isso vai enfrentar o cartel de três fabricantes de chocolate que corrompem todos na cidade. Vai do Padre (Rowan Atkinson, o Mr. Bean sempre notável), ao Chefe de Polícia (Keegan Michael-Key). Os três são Matt Lucas, Paterson Joseph e Matthew Baynton.
Muito mais interessante é a trupe dos desvalidos presos no hotel. Temos a jovem Kalah Lane (como Noodle), Natasha Rothwell, Rakhee Thakrar, Rich Fulcher, e Jim Carter. Todos são muito simpáticos e vão ajudar Wonka em sua missão impossível. Também tem o pequeno homem laranja, Hugh Grant muito engraçado.
Revendo o filme, arrisco dizer que ombreia pelo posto de melhor representação de WONKA com os anteriores. É mais lúdico, fantasioso e otimista.
No debate, o Psiquiatra Euclides Gomes disse que é preciso sonhar.

I took part of the Cine Psiquiatria event, on Saturday January 13, 2024, at GNC Praia de Belas. The film presented was WONKA, by Paul King. The promotion is from the Cyro Martins Association and aims to demystify mental disorders. A beautiful debate followed the presentation of the film.
WONKA brings the character created by Roald Dhal‘s third time on screen. There has been Gene Wilder, Johnny Depp and now, fashion star Timothée Chalamet.
King’s film is visually very beautiful and has a playful and tender story that is far above average.
Wonka is a poor young man who, through the efforts of his late mother, developed a unique talent for making chocolates. Wonka’s chocolates, like him, have the gift of evoking positive emotions in people.
Wonka, without money, finds himself the victim of a couple of con artists who trap poor people in a cheap hotel to work for them for free. She is the remarkable Olivia Colman. He is Tom Davis.
Wonka dreams of opening a chocolate shop. But to do so, he will face the cartel of three chocolate manufacturers who corrupt everyone in the city. It ranges from the Priest (Rowan Atkinson, the always remarkable Mr. Bean), to the Chief of Police (Keegan Michael-Key). The three are Matt Lucas, Paterson Joseph and Matthew Baynton.
Much more interesting is the troupe of destitute people trapped in the hotel. We have young Kalah Lane (as Noodle), Natasha Rothwell, Rakhee Thakrar, Rich Fulcher, and Jim Carter. Everyone is very friendly and will help Wonka in his impossible mission. Also there is the little orange man, Hugh Grant, very remarkable.
Reviewing the film, I would venture to say that it rivals the previous films for the best representation of WONKA. It is more playful, fantasy and optimistic.
In the debate, Psychiatrist Euclides Gomes said that it is necessary to dream.
