Terminei de ver a segunda temporada de REACHER, a série da Amazon Prime Video com o solitário ex-mariner Jack Reacher em suas andanças pelos EUA em busca de justiça. O personagem do escritor Lee Child (que já apareceu em dois filmes estrelados por Tom Cruise), segue muito mais real na interpretação de Alan Ritchson, um jovem ator americano de tamanho privilegiado.
Nesta segunda temporada, uma ex-colega do batalhão 110 contata Reacher para dizer que seus ex-companheiros estão aparecendo mortos feito moscas. O grandão volta à cena e não vai deixar barato.
O vilão é o chefe de uma organização pára-militar que bolou um golpe milionário vendendo armas para terroristas. Vai pagar caro.
REACHER tem um ótimo elenco: Robert Patrick faz um ótimo vilão desde TERMINATOR 2 (com direito a piadinhas sobre seu papel mais famoso). Os parceiros do herói são a linda Karla (Serinda Swan), Neagley (Maria Sten) e David (Shaun Sipos). Destaque também para o Policial Isso, ótimo trabalho de Dominic Lombardozzi.
O nível de violência cresceu muito da primeira temporada. As brigas e os tiroteios estão mais constantes e mais explícitos. Não acho que isso vá desagradar os fãs de REACHER. Mas indica uma tendência que tem ser olhada.
O que me fez gostar mais desta segunda temporada foi o aumento do humor, em meio a tanta violência. Acho que os roteiristas da série incorporaram o estilo de Child, onde o nonsense do trabalho de justiça pelas próprias mãos de Reacher aparece seguidamente.
Há excelentes piadas na série, algo difícil de incorporar em meio a tantas mortes.
O Lone Wolf Jack Reacher com certeza volta para uma terceira temporada. Merece voltar. Harry muito bandido solto nos altos escalões dos EUA (e do resto do mundo), merecendo uma visita de Jack Reacher.
I finished watching the second season of REACHER, the Amazon Prime Video series featuring the lonely ex-marine Jack Reacher as he travels across the USA in search of justice. The character of writer Lee Child (who has already appeared in two films starring Tom Cruise) remains much more real in the interpretation of Alan Ritchson, a young American actor of privileged size.
In this second season, a former colleague from Battalion 110 contacts Reacher to say that her former comrades are turning up dead like flies. The big guy returns to the scene and he won’t let it go.
The villain is the head of a paramilitary organization that created a million-dollar scam by selling weapons to terrorists. You will pay dearly.
REACHER has a great cast: Robert Patrick has played a great villain since TERMINATOR 2 (complete with jokes about his most famous role). The hero’s partners are the beautiful Karla (Serinda Swan), Neagley (Maria Sten) and David (Shaun Sipos). Also noteworthy is Police That, great work by Dominic Lombardozzi.
The level of violence increased a lot from the first season. The fights and shootings are more constant and more explicit. I don’t think this will displease REACHER fans. But it indicates a trend that needs to be looked at.
What made me like this second season more was the increase in humor, amidst so much violence. I think the series’ writers incorporated Child’s style, where the nonsense of justice work by Reacher’s own hands appears repeatedly.
There are excellent jokes in the series, something difficult to incorporate amid so many deaths.
The Lone Wolf Jack Reacher will definitely return for a third season. He deserves to come back. There is a lot of criminals loose in the highest echelons of the USA (and the rest of the world), deserving a visit from Jack Reacher.
