Dois policiais muito diferentes entre si entram em rota de colisão quando a Detetive June Lenker (a excelente atriz Cush Jumbo em mais um papel bem complexo) acidentalmente toma conhecimento de que um homem preso e condenado por um crime pode ser inocente.
O responsável pela prisão dele anos atrás é o veterano e intocável DCI Daniel Hagerty (antológica interpretação do ator Peter Capaldi), que por todos os meios ao seu alcance, busca obstaculizar que a investigação vá adiante.
O duelo entre os dois policiais é incrível, recheado de cenas brilhantemente escritas e filmadas, como aquela em que Hagerty observa placidamente- nas telas de vigilância de uma viatura – um criminoso armado se aproximar a Policial Lenker. Sua omissão em dar o alarme à jovem detetive é, desde já. um momento superior das séries de 2024.
Aliás, o trabalho de Capaldi é uma espécie de encarnação do mal. Ele transita pelos caminhos da Polícia inglesa como se fosse um Deus criando os mais incríveis obstáculos a que sua nemesis descubra a verdade sobre a prisão do inocente.
Eu sou grande admirador da atriz Cush Jumbo. Aos 38 anos, esta jovem barbarizou no papel de Lucca Quinn, na série THE GOOD WIFE. Teve participação na ótima série policial britânica VERA (um show de Brenda Blethyn) e tem se destacado em filmes e séries policiais. Aqui, mais uma vez brilha no duelo com Capaldi.
CRIMINAL RECORD vai ter oito capítulos. No terceiro, a gente já não aguenta mais o suspense.

Two very different police officers come into collision when Detective June Lenker (the excellent actress Cush Jumbo in yet another very complex role) accidentally learns that a man arrested and convicted of a crime may be innocent.
The person responsible for his arrest years ago is the veteran and untouchable DCI Daniel Hagerty (an anthological performance by actor Peter Capaldi), who, by all means at his disposal, seeks to prevent the investigation from moving forward.
The duel between the two police officers is incredible, filled with brilliantly written and filmed scenes, such as the one in which Hagerty placidly watches – on the surveillance screens of a police car – an armed criminal approach Police Lenker. His failure to raise the alarm to the young detective is, from now on. a superior moment of the 2024 series.
In fact, Capaldi’s work is a kind of evil incarnate. He walks through the paths of the English Police as if he were a God, creating the most incredible obstacles for his nemesis to discover the truth about the arrest of the innocent man.
I am a great admirer of actress Cush Jumbo. At 38 years old, this young woman excelled in the role of Lucca Quinn, in the series THE GOOD WIFE. She participated in the great British police series VERA (a show by Brenda Blethyn) and has stood out in police films and series. Here, she once again shines in the duel with Capaldi.
CRIMINAL RECORD will have eight chapters. In the third, we can no longer bear the suspense.
This eighth chapter (Apple TV+ releases one per week) will take a long time to arrive.
