Está em cartaz no NOW e na Apple TV+, a comédia romântica SHE CAME TO ME, que a cineasta e atriz Rebecca Miller dirigiu. Não há como não criticar a tradução do título que certamente afastará muitas pessoas de ver o ótimo filme de Miller.
Peter Dinklage (sempre excelente) faz um neurótico compositor de óperas que está atravessando um bloqueio criativo. Ele mora em Manhattan e é casado com a psiquiatra de sucesso Anne Hathaway. Ela tem TOC e tenta equilibrar a vida entre sua prática profissional (com maluquices de todos os gêneros), a família (em que o marido e ex-paciente vive em crises de ansiedade) e uma obsessão religiosa que revela muito sobre seus traumas de vida.
O terceiro vértice do triângulo amoroso é a divertida Katrina Trento, outra divertidíssima criação de Marisa Tomei – sempre melhor em papeis cômicos – uma mulher que foi processada por assédio sexual, comanda um rebocador em Nova Iorque e adora sexo. Ela vai ter um caso com o angustiado Steven Laudden de Dincklage e vira musa de sua próxima ópera.
Há muita coisa inteligente e extremamente engraçada em SHE CAME TO ME.
Da obsessão por limpeza da psiquiatra Patricia, aos ataques de pânico de Steven, o militarismo ridículo do padrasto de Teresa, o espectador passa a conhecer um mundo cheio de paixões e dúvidas em uma Nova Iorque linda demais.
Dei muita risada no filme. Rebecca Miller acertou a mão. É seu melhor filme como diretora até agora.
O trio Hathaway – Dincklage – Tomei toma conta do show. Cada cena com eles tem uma comicidade extrema sem sacrificar o tom dramático da crítica à vida louca nos tempos atuais.

From psychiatrist Patricia’s obsession with cleanliness, to Steven’s panic attacks, to Teresa’s stepfather’s ridiculous militarism, the viewer gets to know a world full of passions and doubts in a very beautiful New York.
I laughed a lot at the film. Rebecca Miller got it right. It’s her best film as a director so far.
The trio Hathaway – Dincklage – Tomei takes over the show. Each scene with them has extreme comedy without sacrificing the dramatic tone of criticism of crazy life in today’s times.
SHE CAME TO ME is a very good film. It works perfectly as a romantic comedy and as a drama about our crazy times.
