Chegou ao streaming (Apple TV+, NOW e Amazon Prime), a comédia romântica de sucesso TODOS MENOS VOCÊ, dirigida por Will Gluck (PETER RABBIT e FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS).
O filme é estrelado por Sydney Sweeney, uma das estrelas da moda e Glenn Powell. Ainda tem no elenco Rachel Griffiths, Dermot Mulroney e Bryan Brown.
Uma jovem estudante de direito vai à Austrália para o casamento da irmã, mas tem o desprazer de encontrar um rapaz com quem teve uma noite de amor. Os dois ficam brigando o tempo inteiro até que resolvem fingir que estão juntos para não estragar o final de semana do casamento.
Parece fácil fazer uma comédia romântica. Grande engano. Um roteiro realmente cheio de situações e personagens engraçados, uma história de amor convincente e uma trilha sonora envolvente são elementos básicos, a que deve se somar uma faísca de talento que fez grandes clássicos como UMA LINDA MULHER e UM LUGAR CHAMADO NOTTING HILL.
Apesar das estonteantes paisagens de Sidney (em especial o incrível prédio da Ópera), ANYONE BUT YOU falhou na hora h. Eu pelo menos, como espectador senti muito pouca empatia pelo casal central, mais convincente como inimigos que como apaixonados.
Algumas cenas um tanto grosseiras serviram para criar ainda mais distanciamento do que deveria ser o divertido romance entre Bea e Ben. O roteiro tem frases indefensáveis (“ela me beijou, eu não beijei ela.”) e algumas cenas francamente sem cabimento.
O filme fez sucesso de bilheteria (212 milhões de dólares no mercado global), o que provavelmente se repita no streaming. Fala-se até mesmo em um segundo filme.
Melhor rever os clássicos do gênero, muito melhores que este filme insosso.

A young female law student goes to Australia for her sister’s wedding, but has the displeasure of meeting a boy with whom she had a one-night stand. The two fight the whole time until they decide to pretend they are together so as not to ruin the wedding weekend.
It seems easy to make a romantic comedy. Big mistake. A script really full of funny situations and characters, a convincing love story and an engaging soundtrack are basic elements, to which must be added a spark of talent that made great classics such as PRETTY WOMAN and NOTTING HILL.
Despite Sydney’s 9one of the most beautiful cities in the world) stunning landscapes (especially the incredible Opera building), ANYONE BUT YOU failed at the right time. At least I, as a viewer, felt very little empathy for the central couple, more convincing as enemies than in love.
Some rather rude scenes served to create even more distance from what should have been the fun romance between Bea and Ben. The script has indefensible phrases (“she kissed me, I didn’t kiss her.”) and some frankly inappropriate scenes.
The film was a success at the box office (212 million dollars in the global market), which will probably be repeated in streaming. There is even talk of a second film.
Better to review the classics of the genre, much better than this unconvincing film.
