Eu gosto dos filmes e séries que o inglês Guy Ritchie produz e dirige. Acho ele um Quentin Tarantino um pouco mais comportado. Muito pouco.
SNATCH foi um dos filmes mais surpreendentes e deliciosos que já vi. Até hoje me lembro da surpresa que me causou aquela história repleta de tipos malucos e uma narrativa completamente desestruturada.
Depois vieram os ótimos Sherlock Holmes, com Robert Downy Jr. e Judd Law. ótimos filmes de Ritchie.
Ele andava há algum tempo sem acertar o alvo.
A NETFLIX está exibindo THE GENTLEMAN, uma série britânica de oito capítulos sobre nobres ingleses que cometem todo tipo de crime para manter seu estilo de vida rebuscado e seus castelos suntuosos e cheios de serviçais.
O porno de partida da série é um prato cheio para as ironias de Ritchie sobre o Brittish way of life. Para tomar o chá das cinco em alto estilo, os personagens matam sem pestanejar, vendem drogas a granel e roubam uns aos outros o tempo todo.
Theo James é Eddie Hornimann, o herdeiro de uma fortuna que tem que assumir o comando das coisas para não falir. Kaya Scodelario é a parceira de crime dele. E Daniel Ings e Joely Richardson são os familiares que não querem saber de onde vem o dinheiro.
Vi dois capítulos e acho que Ritchie voltou à antiga forma. O non sense da trama é muito divertido.
Os nobres ingleses seguem com elegantes ternos de tweed, tomando chá e caçando faisões. Mesmo que para isso tenham que matar, roubar e enganar.
Fina ironia.
I like the films and series that Englishman Guy Ritchie produces and directs. I think he’s a slightly more well-behaved Quentin Tarantino. Very little.
SNATCH was one of the most surprising and delightful films I’ve ever seen. To this day, I remember how surprised I was by that story full of crazy people and a completely unstructured narrative.
Then came the great Sherlock Holmes, with Robert Downy Jr. and Judd Law. Great Ritchie films.

NETFLIX is showing THE GENTLEMAN, an eight-chapter British series about English nobles who commit all kinds of crimes to maintain their elaborate lifestyle and their sumptuous castles full of servants.
The starting porn of the series is a feast for Ritchie’s ironies about the British way of life. To have five o’clock tea in style, the characters kill without blinking, sell drugs in bulk and rob each other all the time.
Theo James is Eddie Hornimann, the heir to a fortune who has to take charge of things to avoid going bankrupt. Kaya Scodelario is his partner in crime. And Daniel Ings and Joely Richardson are the family members who don’t want to know where the money comes from.
I saw two episodes and I think Ritchie is back to his old self. The nonsense of the plot is very fun.
The English nobles wear elegant tweed suits, drinking tea and hunting pheasants. Even if to do so they have to kill, steal and deceive.
