O HULU está anunciando a estréia de UNDER THE BRIDGE, série policial com oito capítulos. É baseada em fatos reais contados pela falecida escritora Rebecca Godfrey em seu best seller. A série deve aparecer em seguida no Star+ brasileiro.
Pelo que se diz, a trama envolvendo o assassinato de uma jovem adolescente seria baseada em fatos reais.
O que me chamou a atenção é que estrelam a série três ótimas atrizes.
Riley Keough, uma californiana de 45 anos apareceu para o mundo em THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE, a série de Soderbergh. Antes disso foi uma das meninas de MAD MAX : FURY ROAD. Recentemente esteve em RIVERDALE. Keough é famosa por ser a neta de Elvis Presley e Priscilla. Gosto muito de vê-la em cena.
O segundo nome é Lily Gladstone, atriz americana de origem indígena que brilhou de modo superlativo em ASSASSINOS DA LUA DAS FLORES, de Martin Scorsese. Não ganhou o Oscar de Melhor Atriz, mas já gravou seu nome em nossas mentes e corações.
A terceira é Archie Panjabi, uma inglesa de origem indiana que se notabilizou na série THE GOOD WIFE. Panjabi tem feito séries muito interessantes como HIJACK, da Apple TV+. Usualmente domina a cena em que aparece.
Pela trama e sobretudo pelo elenco feminino extraordinário, UNDER THE BRIDGE promete demais.
