Entrou em cartaz no MUBI, o filme PERFECT DAYS, que o alemão Wim Wenders dirigiu em 2023 e que esteve presente em várias listas de melhores do ano.
O filme faz jus aos elogios recebidos.
Hirayma (trabalho incrível do ator Koji Yakusho) é um homem solitário que vive do trabalho de limpar banheiros públicos. A rotina dele é minuciosa. Acordar, escovar os dentes, fazer a barba, se vestir, entrar no pequeno furgão de serviços com uma latinha de soda e rumar para o trabalho. Ao final da tarde, voltar para casa, pegar a bicicleta, rumar a um centrinho próximo, tomar um banho, jantar e voltar para dormir, não sem antes ler um pouco.
Wenders mostra minuciosa e repetidamente essa rotina. Claro que vai abreviando as cenas, porque o espectador já está familiarizado com o dia a dia de Hirayama.
Há muitos anos atrás, tomei contato com o cinema de Wim Wenders, quando ele integrava o movimento chamado NOVO CINEMA ALEMÃO, onde também estavam, Fassbinder, Schloendorff e Herzog. Que time de cineastas.
Aos 79 anos e tendo dirigido 88 filmes, Wim Wenders é um artista maduro. Obras primas como PARIS, TEXAS e ASAS DO DESEJO lhe deram muita quilometragem no cinema.
Em PERFECT DAYS, Wenders mais uma vez valoriza o simples como o melhor caminho para a felicidade.
São particularmente tocantes os momentos de felicidade de Hirayama quando ele vê surgir o sol ou descobre um ótimo livro usado por um dólar.
Há poucas surpresas em PERFECT DAYS. Mas também elas se integram perfeitamente na rotina do protagonista.
Wim Wenders fez outro excelente filme. Fico imaginando o cineasta alemão abrindo um sorriso como o de seu personagem a cada bela imagem que seu filme contém.

Hirayma (incredible work by actor Koji Yakusho) is a lonely man who lives by cleaning public bathrooms. His routine is meticulous. Wake up, brush your teeth, shave, get dressed, get into the small service van with a can of soda and head to work. At the end of the afternoon, return home, take the bike, head to a nearby center, take a shower, have dinner and go back to sleep, but not without reading a little first.
Wenders shows this routine thoroughly and repeatedly. Of course, the scenes are shortened, because the viewer is already familiar with Hirayama’s daily life.
Many years ago, I came into contact with Wim Wenders’ cinema, when he was part of the movement called NEW GERMAN CINEMA, which also included Fassbinder, Schloendorff and Herzog. What a team of filmmakers.
