Ginia (Yile Yara Vianello), uma jovem estilista de 17 anos está passando da adolescência para a vida adulta.
Tudo na vida dela está sofrendo um terremoto. O emprego em um atelier de costura alterna momentos de crescimento e risco de demissão. A vida afetiva oscila entre uma atração irresistível pela libertária Amelia (Deva Cassel) e as atividades de iniciação sexual com os rapazes do local. O irmão pobre com quem reside vive falando em voltarem para o campo, o que é o oposto do que Ginia deseja. Deva é filha de Vincent Cassell e Monica Belucci e faz jus à ascendência ilustre, tanto na beleza quanto no talento.
Há ótimas cenas em LA BELA STATE. O filme tem um tom de melancolia próprio dos drama italianos, acentuado por uma fotografia meio desbotada quebrada apenas nas cenas dos jovens emnamorados à beira do lago local.
A diretora Luchetti chega a seu décimo trabalho (há vários curtas e séries de tv) demonstrando uma maturidade por vezes surpreendente. A criatividade não é exatamente o forte do enredo, mas tudo é feito com sensibilidade.
LA BELA STATE merece ser visto.

Everything in her life is experiencing an earthquake. Employment in a sewing studio alternates between moments of growth and the risk of dismissal.
Their emotional life oscillates between an irresistible attraction to the libertarian Amelia (Deva Cassel) and sexual initiation activities with local boys. Deva is the daughter of Vincent Cassell and Monica Belucci and accomplish with her notorious parentes, both in beauty as talent.
The poor brother with whom she lives keeps talking about going back to the countryside, which is the opposite of what Ginia wants.
There are great scenes in LA BELA STATE. The film has a tone of melancholy typical of Italian dramas, accentuated by somewhat faded photography, broken only in the scenes of young people in love by the local lake.
Director Luchetti reaches her tenth work (there are several short films and TV series) demonstrating a maturity that is sometimes surprising.
Creativity isn’t exactly the plot’s strong point, but everything is done sensitively.
LA BELA STATE deserves to be seen.
