Muitos anos atrás, o Clube de Cinema de Porto Alegre exibiu em uma das Mostras Internacionais, o filme francês GARDE À VUE, de Claude Miller. Foi no Cine ABC. Deve ter sido em 1982 ou 1983. Lembro bem da forte impressão que o filme me causou.
A trama mostra um cidadão francês rico que, na condição de suspeito pela morte de duas meninas fica uma noite inteira sendo interrogado em uma Delegacia de Polícia, em Paris.
Nas décadas de 50, 60 e 70, a França produziu inúmeros filmes policiais de altíssima qualidade: O CLÃ DOS SICILIANOS, O SAMURAI, MEDO SOBRE A CIDADE, só para citar alguns.
Em GARDE À VUE, estavam presentes aquelas condições (meio misteriosas, meio aleatórias) que tornam um título, um cult movie.
O extraordinário ator italiano (nasceu em Parma) Lino Ventura lidera o elenco no papel do Inspetor Antoine Gallien que tem total desprezo pela hierarquia política, mas uma obsessão por desvendar os crimes aos seus cuidados, especialmente um que tenha como vítimas duas meninas brutalmente violentadas e mortas.
Cada aparição de Lino Ventura em cena é poderosa. Ele toma conta de tudo, com seu tipo rude, incômodo e extremamente inteligente. Só vê-lo interpretando vale o filme.
O vilão é Michael Serrault, como o Dr. Jerome Martinaud, um desprezível e arrogante membro da alta sociedade de Paris que adora invocar sua condição especial de privilegiado economicamente.
O elenco excelente ainda tem Romy Schneider (que atriz incrível era), Guy Marchand e Didier Agostini.
GARDE A VUE é uma medida judicial que coloca uma pessoa em custódia para interrogatório quando é suspeita de um crime. No caso, dois brutais assassinatos.
Visto hoje, 43 anos depois de lançado, GARDE A VUE segue contundente e impressionante.

In the 50s, 60s and 70s, France produced countless crime films of the highest quality: THE CLAN OF THE SICILIANS, THE SAMURAI, FEAR OVER THE CITY, just to name a few.
In GARDE À VUE, it were present those conditions (half mysterious, half random) that make a title a cult movie.
The extraordinary Italian actor (born in Parma) Lino Ventura leads the cast in the role of Inspector Antoine Gallien who has total contempt for the political hierarchy, but an obsession with unraveling the crimes under his care, especially one that has as victims two brutally raped girls and dead.
Every appearance of Lino Ventura on screen is powerful. He takes care of everything, with his rude, uncomfortable and extremely intelligent type. Just seeing him perform is worth the film.
