Um casal de sessentões é proprietário de uma vinícola na região de carcás, na França. Juntos há décadas, o casamento deles está completamente desgastado, sendo a convivência entre eles extremamente beligerante e desagradável.
Jean Duberry (o ótimo ator Laurent Guerra) resolve escrever um diário, narrando o dia a dia da relação entre os dois. Maud Duberry (Catherine Frot) resolve ler o que o marido escreveu, o que somente acentua a ruptura entre eles.
Certa manhã, ela sai para caminhar acompanhada por ele. No alto de um penhasco, ela cai e morre.
O aparente acidente começa a ser investigado pela jovem policial Clarisse (a bela Diane Rouxel), uma amiga do filho do casal.
O filme tem uma narrativa lenta mas consegue magistralmente alternar o tempo atual (a investigação) com os fatos dos últimos tempos de convivência do casal.
Acidente ou assassinato?
O filme de Fillières é cirúrgico em examinar os múltiplos fatores de desgaste de uma relação longa.

A couple in their sixties own a winery in the Carcás region, in France. Together for decades, their marriage is completely worn out, and their coexistence is extremely belligerent and unpleasant.
Jean Duberry (the great actor Laurent Guerra) decides to write a diary, narrating the day-to-day relationship between the two. Maud Duberry (Catherine Frot) decides to read what her husband wrote, which only accentuates the rupture between them.
One morning, she goes out for a walk accompanied by him. At the top of a cliff, she falls and dies.
The apparent accident begins to be investigated by the young police officer Clarisse (the beautiful Diane Rouxel), a friend of the couple’s son.
The film has a slow narrative but masterfully manages to alternate the current time (the investigation) with the events of the couple’s last time together.
There is a passage about his infidelity that enchants the viewer.
Accident or murder?
Fillières’ film is surgical in examining the multiple factors of wear and tear in a long-term relationship.
The filmmaker did a well above average job.
