INSTINTO MATERNO aposta no talento das duas para contar a história de duas amigas e vizinhas que tem sua amizade abalada por uma tragédia familiar. A sanidade delas resistirá ao gigantesco abalo sofrido?
Refilmagem do belga LES DUELLES (2018), o filme do cineasta francês Benoit Delhomme se sai melhor como drama rasgado do que quando arrisca um pouco de thiller no trecho final, o que achei previsível e pouco impactante.
Preferi ver Celine (Anne) e Alice (Jessica) trocando carícias e afagos e depois farpas e agressões. Acho que o roteiro deu as duas ótimas atrizes a oportunidade de exercitarem seu talento dramático de forma completa.
Claro que Josh Charles e Anders Danielsen Lie ficaram muito abaixo das duas protagonistas.
Talvez o diretor pudesse dar ainda mais espaço para suas duas musas. Quanto mais elas estivessem em cena, mais brilho teria o filme.
De qualquer sorte, merece ser visto.
Embora a gente termine meio arrasado pela tragédia que assolou os personagens.

A remake of the Belgian LES DUELLES (2018), the film by French filmmaker Benoit Delhomme does better as a pure drama than when it risks a bit of a thriller in the final section, which I found predictable and not very impactful.
I preferred to see Celine (Anne) and Alice (Jessica) exchanging caresses and love and then fights and aggression. I think the script gave the two great actresses the opportunity to fully exercise their dramatic talent.
Of course, Josh Charles and Anders Danielsen Lie were far below the two protagonists.
Perhaps the director could give even more space to his two muses. The more they were in the scene, the brighter the film would be.
Either way, it deserves to be seen.
Although we end up a bit devastated by the tragedy that struck the characters.
