A NETFLIX lançou a comédia romântica TUDO EM FAMÍLIA, dirigido por Richard Lagravenese.
Nicole Kidman faz uma escritora viúva que tem um tórrido affair com o chefe da filha, o ator de sucesso em Hollywood Chris Cole (Zac Efron, em seu pior trabalho). A filha é vivida pela jovem Joey King e a ex-sogra de Kidman pela ótima Kathy Bates.
Sempre achei que o sucesso ou não de uma comédia romântica dependia mais da atriz que do ator, Por isso, Julia Roberts marcou o gênero atuando com diversos atores. Sandra Bullock idem. Anne Hathaway também.
Zac Efron me desmentiu.
Pode ser que a pretensa ironia sobre astros de ação do cinema atual tenha tornado seu trabalho tão inexpressivo, mas mesmo assim, não faz sentido. Tudo no personagem soa muito falso e superficial.
O roteiro é bem ruinzinho mesmo. Há uma cena entre Kidman & Bates onde as duas falam do final da vida do ex-marido da escritora Brooke Harwood que é completamente errada e fora de tom.
Também achei que o filme leva muito leve o comportamento machista e abusivo do personagem de Zac Efron. Algo fora dos tempos atuais.
Há algumas boas piadas. Mas fica por aí.
Pensei que o filme seria bem mais divertido.

Nicole Kidman plays a widowed writer who has a torrid affair with her daughter’s boss, the successful Hollywood actor Chris Cole (Zac Efron, in his worst work). The daughter is played by the young Joey King and Kidman’s ex-mother-in-law is played by the great Kathy Bates.
I always thought that the success or otherwise of a romantic comedy depended more on the actress than the actor. That’s why Julia Roberts marked the genre by acting with different actors. Sandra Bullock also. Anne Hathaway too.
Zac Efron denied me.
It may be that the would-be irony about action stars in today’s cinema has made his work so unimpressive, but even so, it doesn’t make sense. Everything about the character sounds very fake and superficial.
The script is really bad. There is a scene between Kidman & Bates where the two talk about the end of the life of writer Brooke Harwood’s ex-husband that is completely wrong and out of tone.
I also thought that the film takes the sexist and abusive behavior of Zac Efron’s character very lightly. Something out of current times.
There are some good jokes. But it ends there.
I thought the film would be much more fun.
