Está em cartaz na Apple TV+, a série LAND OF WOMEN, estrelada por Eva Longoria (que andava bem sumida) e a ótima Carmen Maura.
Conta a história de Gala, uma mulher casada com Fred (James Purefoy), empresário que se envolve com agiotas e tem que fugir às pressas para não ser morto. Ela, a mãe e a filha viajam rapidamente para uma antiga propriedade da família em Girona, na Catalunha.
Vi apenas o primeiro dos seis capítulos da série.
Achei muito simpática e interessante.
Gostei principalmente da alternância de imagens entre a juventude da personagem e Carmen maura, vivida pela interessante Helena Ezquerro.
A direção igualmente aproveita com muito gosto as paisagens da Catalunha.
Vou seguir olhando a série nas próximas semanas.

The series LAND OF WOMEN is currently showing on Apple TV+, starring Eva Longoria (who had been out of the spotlight for a while) and the excellent Carmen Maura.
It tells the story of Gala, a woman married to Fred (James Purefoy), a businessman who gets involved with loan sharks and has to flee in a hurry to avoid being killed. She, her mother and daughter quickly travel to an old family estate in Girona, Catalonia.
I only watched the first of the six episodes of the series.
I found it very nice and interesting.
I especially liked the alternation of images between the character’s youth and Carmen Maura, played by the interesting Helena Ezquerro.
The direction also makes great use of the landscapes of Catalonia.
I’ll keep watching the series in the coming weeks.
