Um empresário cinquentão que mora com a família no subúrbio chique de Santa Clarita, Califórnia, está com a namorada aproveitando uma tarde na piscina, quando ela aparece morta. Ele esconde o corpo em um container próximo da casa quando é surpreendido pela volta antecipada da esposa e filhos, que lhe prepararam uma festa surpresa de aniversário.
Tudo no roteiro é bem superficial e põe a perder o interessante ponto de partida da trama.
Os sucessivos flashbacks até colocam alguma pimenta na história, fazendo o espectador anisar por descobrir como morreu a jovem Hannah.
Mas o final da trama é bem decepcionante.
Acho que faltou roteiro, direção e atores mais capazes, para que a promessa inicial se realizasse.
Ficou um filme bem comum.

A fifty-something businessman who lives with his family in the upscale suburb of Santa Clarita, California, is enjoying an afternoon by the pool with his girlfriend when she turns up dead. He hides the body in a container near the house when he is surprised by the early return of his wife and children, who have thrown him a surprise birthday party.
Everything in the script is very superficial and ruins the interesting starting point of the plot.
The successive flashbacks even add some spice to the story, making the viewer eager to find out how young Hannah died.
But the ending of the plot is very disappointing.
I think the script, direction and more capable actors were missing to make the initial promise come true.
It turned out to be a very ordinary film.
