O ator australiano Eric Bana vive o psicólogo Ben Monroe que vai morar na Alemanha depois de sua separação. Em determinado momento, a filha adolescente dele vai passar uns meses na casa paterna.
O objetivo do filme é denunciar a vulnerabilidade dos jovens – sempre em busca de missões e objetivos de vida – diante de cultos supostamente religiosos que buscam fasciná-los com um discurso apocalíptico sobre as mazelas do mundo atual.
Monroe vai devir seu tempos entre a filha Mazzie (Sadie Sink) e a profiler da Polícia alemã Nina (Sylvia Hoeks) que o ajuda a investigar um suicídio coletivo dos membros de um culto.
Devo confessar que o filme conseguiu me surpreender. Em determinada altura do roteiro há um twist bem surpreendente que amplia bastante o conteúdo alarmante o filme.
Sob o manto de organizações de finalidades elogiáveis (preservação ambiental e olhar para o coletivo) há muita gente se aproveitando da ingenuidade de jovens desorientados.
BERLIN NOBODY é um thriller muito bem feito e que atinge seus objetivos.

Australian actor Eric Bana plays psychologist Ben Monroe, who moves to Germany after his divorce. At a certain point, his teenage daughter spends a few months at his parents’ house.
The film’s goal is to expose the vulnerability of young people – always searching for missions and life goals – in the face of supposedly religious cults that seek to fascinate them with an apocalyptic discourse about the ills of the modern world.

I must confess that the film managed to surprise me. At a certain point in the script, there is a very surprising twist that greatly expands the film’s alarming content.
Under the guise of organizations with laudable goals (environmental preservation and looking out for the collective), there are many people taking advantage of the naivety of disoriented young people.
BERLIN NOBODY is a very well-made thriller that achieves its objectives.
It’s worth watching.
