A trama mostra uma família do interior dos Estados Unidos, em um futuro próximo, em que a esposa é obrigada a se submeter a um transplante cardíaco, fazendo com que o marido contrate uma robô para cuidas da casa e das duas crianças do casal.
Trata-se de mais um filme enfocando os riscos da inteligência artificial, tanto da parte dos humanos, como das máquinas.
A robô vem na pele da atriz Megan Fox, a jovem americana do Tenessee que parece ter se especializado em filmes de gosto duvidoso. Com ela estão, Michelle Morrone (o mesmo péssimo ator de 365 DIAS) e Madeline Zima.
Todas as ideias do roteiro são mal exploradas. Certa noite, o protagonista está vendo na TV, o clássico CASABLANCA. A robô Alice chega próxima e recita um texto que está em sua memória sobre os clichês do filme. É contestada. Reseta sua memória e vai ver o filme sem preconceito. Duro de acreditar.
Mas como o que é ruim, sempre pose piorar, Alice resolve agir por conta própria se apaixonando por Nick e passando a ameaçar sua esposa. Megan Fox vira o Exterminador do Futuro.
Aí a coisa cai mesmo na vulgaridade.
Quando Hollywood quer fazer um filme ruim, eles são imbatíveis.
The science fiction film SUBSERVIENCE, directed by S.K. Dale, is currently showing on Apple TV.
The plot follows a family in the United States in the near future, where the wife is forced to undergo a heart transplant, forcing her husband to hire a robot to take care of the house and their two children.
This is yet another film focusing on the risks of artificial intelligence, both on the part of humans and machines.
The robot is played by actress Megan Fox, a young American from Tennessee who seems to have specialized in films of questionable taste. She is joined by Michelle Morrone (the same terrible actor from 365 DAYS) and Madeline Zima.
All the ideas in the script are poorly explored. One night, the protagonist is watching the classic CASABLANCA on TV. The robot Alice comes over and recites a text she has memorized about the film’s clichés. She is challenged. She resets her memory and goes to see the film without prejudice. Hard to believe.
But since bad things can always get worse, Alice decides to take matters into her own hands, falling in love with Nick and threatening his wife. Megan Fox becomes the Terminator.
And then things really get vulgar.
