As histórias lembram bastante as clássicas tramas escritas por Robert Parker, com Jesse Stone na cidade de Paraíso, que originaram nove ótimos thrillers, estrelados por Tom Selleck (que pode voltar a produzir um novo filme do personagem segundo se anuncia).
Rossif Sutherland (o filho canadense do falecido Donald) vive o chefe de polícia Karl Alberg, que se muda para a pacata e bucólica cidadezinha de Gibsons (locações em British Columbia, no Canadá), sem imaginar que ali também há crimes hediondos.
Recém divorciado, Karl vai logo se envolver com a bibliotecária local, a graciosa Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk), chamando a atenção dos locais.
A equipe da Delegacia de Gibsons tem a novata Edwina Yen (Mya Love), Sid Sokolowski (Aaron Douglas) e Andy Kendrick (Fritzy-Klevans Destine).
Os dois primeiros capítulos )já disponíveis) são excepcionalmente bons de se assistir. Tramas complexas, crimes pesados, vários suspeitos e investigação a la Sherlock Holmes em um cenário visualmente deslumbrante.
Por enquanto é apenas um palpite, mas acho que MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN vai ser sucesso. O DNA de Donald Sutherland empurra Rossif Sutherland para a fama.

The stories are very reminiscent of the classic plots written by Robert Parker, with Jesse Stone in the city of Paradise, which gave rise to nine great thrillers, starring Tom Selleck (who may return to produce a new film about the character, according to reports).
Rossif Sutherland (the Canadian son of the late Donald) plays police chief Karl Alberg, who moves to the quiet and bucolic town of Gibsons (set in British Columbia, Canada), without imagining that there are also heinous crimes there.
Newly divorced, Karl soon becomes involved with the local librarian, the graceful Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk), drawing the attention of the locals.

The first two episodes (already available) are exceptionally good to watch. Complex plots, serious crimes, several suspects and Sherlock Holmes-style investigation in a visually stunning setting.
For now it’s just a guess, but I think MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN will be a success. Donald Sutherland’s DNA pushes Rossif Sutherland to fame.
