Já escrevi aqui que a MOSTRA INTERNACIONAL DE CINEMA DE São PAULO faz parte de minha memória afetiva de cinéfilo.
No início de minha paixão pelo cinema, fui diversas vezes a São Paulo, especialmente para ver a Mostra. Na época, o jornalista Leon Cakoff lutava contra a Censura no Brasil.
Tudo Becker e Maria Lúcia Fróes foram meus parceiros de histórias e filmes memoráveis. Tenho muitas memórias maravilhosas de filmes de todas as latitudes, gêneros, enfoques e histórias.
Hoje inicia a 48a. Edição.
Se der, vou passar por SP para ver ao menos uma sessão da Mostra.
Com certeza será altamente emocionante.
I have already written here that the São Paulo International Film Festival is part of my fond memories as a cinephile.
When I first became passionate about cinema, I went to São Paulo several times, especially to see the Festival. At the time, journalist Leon Cakoff was fighting against censorship in Brazil.
Tudo Becker and Maria Lúcia Fróes were my partners in memorable stories and films. I have many wonderful memories of films from all latitudes, genres, approaches and stories.
Today marks the beginning of the 48th edition.
If I can, I will stop by São Paulo to see at least one session of the Festival.
It will certainly be very touching.
