O cult movie sobre um cyborg assassin que vem do futuro para matar Sarah Connor, a mãe do líder da Resistência humana contra os robôs foi lançado nos EUA em 26 de outubro de 1984, incríveis 40 anos atrás.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, até então um Mr. Universo de fala complicada, virou astro de Hollywood e até Governador da California.
O filme teve inúmeras sequências e gerou até mesmo uma série de TV, bem mequetrefe.
Nada se compara ao impacto inicial de O EXTERMINADOR DO FUTURO.
Até hoje revivo o impacto de ver uma pré-estréia do filme, que o amigo Roberto Plotécia conseguiu meses antes da estréia brasileira. O gigantesco Cinema Cacique ficou em absoluto silêncio na sessão do Clube de Cinema, enquanto na tela, o cyborg assassino anunciava “I’ll be back.”
Um clássico do cinema scifi, eterno e assustador até hoje. 40 anos depois.

Nothing compares to the initial impact of THE TERMINATOR.
To this day, I relive the impact of seeing a preview of the film, which my friend Roberto Plotécia managed to get a few months before the Brazilian premiere. The gigantic Cinema Cacique was completely silent during the Cinema Club session, while on the screen, the cyborg assassin announced “I’ll be back.”
A classic of sci-fi cinema, timeless and frightening to this day. 40 years later.
