Agora a Amazon Studios lança a série CRUEL INTENTIONS, uma nova reabertura do texto clássico, desta vez focado nas fraternidades das universidades Americans, onde jovens mais ou menos ricos passam o tempo em aventuras sexuais, traições e tramas bem pouco republicanas.
O elenco jovem tem Sarah Catherine Hook (como Caroline Merteuil), Zac Burgess (como seu meio irmão Lucien Belmont)Savanah Lee Smith (como Annie Grover, a filha da Vice Presidente e objeto da aposta entre os irmãos) e Sara silva (como CeceCarroway, a coadjuvante desejosa de ser protagonista).
O primeiro episódio mostra uma produção super cuidadosa em detalhes, que se alimenta da liberdade sexual que as séries de streaming hoje desfruta, Parece que nenhum dos jovens estuda na universidade, mas passam o tempo em aventuras sexuais e tramas ocultas.
Sem chegar próximo do nível das adaptações mais clássicas do texto de Laclos, a série da Amazon iniciou bem interessante.

The young cast includes Sarah Catherine Hook (as Caroline Merteuil), Zac Burgess (as her half-brother Lucien Belmont), Savanah Lee Smith (as Annie Grover, the Vice President’s daughter and the object of the bet between the brothers) and Sara Silva (as Cece Carroway, the supporting actress eager to be the protagonist).
The first episode shows a production that is super careful in detail, which feeds on the sexual freedom that streaming series enjoy today. It seems that none of the young people study at university, but they spend their time in sexual adventures and hidden plots.
Without reaching the level of the most classic adaptations of Laclos’ text, the Amazon series started off quite interesting.
