THE RECKONING é um thriller australiano que tem na forma de sua narrativa o maior atrativo.
O assassinato de um policial coloca seu parceiro atrás de uma dupla de adolescentes em fuga que deixa um memory card com um suposto documentário das pessoas envolvidas na morte por atropelamento dois anos atrás. A medida em que vão vendo as cenas do vídeo eles vão se aproximando de quem matou o policial e a menida atropelada.
O irmão de Anthony LaPaglia , o ator australiano Jonathan LaPaglia estrela o filme como o Detetive Robbie Green. A seu lado, como co-investigadora está a Detetive Jane Lambert, vivida pela atriz australiana Bianca Viva, aquela que passou mais tempo nua do que vestida na série SPARTACUS, como a maléfica Ilythtia. Ainda tem Luke Hemsworth (irmão do THOR da MARVEL).
O diretor John V. Soto conduz o filme com certa criatividade, sabendo alternar as cenas do vídeo dos adolescentes fujões e as cenas da narrativa no tempo atual.
O cinema australiano segue muito a escola britânica. Principalmente as séries de TV com enredos policiais adotam muito o tom de narrativa inglês. E vale a pena ver, porque há muito material de alta qualidade.

The murder of a police officer puts his partner behind a pair of fleeing teenagers who leave a memory card with an alleged documentary of the people involved in the hit and run accident two years ago. As they watch the scenes in the video, they get closer to whoever killed the policeman and the hit woman.
The brother of actor Anthony LaPaglia, Australian actor Jonathan LaPaglia stars in the film as Detective Robbie Green. Beside her, as co-investigator is Detective Jane Lambert, played by Australian actress Bianca Viva, the one who spent more time naked than dressed in the SPARTACUS series, like the evil Ilythtia. She still has Luke Hemsworth (the brother of THOR of MARVEL).
The director John V. Soto conducts the film with a certain creativity, knowing how to alternate the scenes of the video of runaway teenagers and the scenes of the narrative in the current time.
Australian cinema follows British school a lot. Especially TV series with thriller plots adopt a very English narrative tone. And it is worth seeing, because there is a lot of high quality material.
