HALIFAX: RETRIBUTION – Série Australiana Tem Sniper Assassino em Melbourne

O app PBS MASTERPIECE está exibindo a novíssima mini série HALIFAX; RETRIBUTION que a TV Australiana exibiu no final de 2020.

A multi premiada atriz neozelandesa Rebecca Gibney volta ao papel da Criminologista Jane Hallifax que viveu com sucesso entre 1994 e 2002 na série HALIFAX F.P. em 21 episódios. Vinte anos depois ela é chamada novamente para colaborar com a Polícia de Melbourne na caça a um sniper que mata pessoas aparentemente de forma aleatória.

Quando o pânico se instala na cidade, o comando da Polícia monta uma força tarefa chefiada pelo experiente Tom Saracen (o ótimo Anthony Lapaglia), com passagem no FBI americano.

Já vi três dos sete episódios. Estou gostando bastante. A história é bem desenvolvida e consegue criar um suspense excelente para o espectador. A figura do sniper que mata a esmo já gerou cenas antológicas em grandes filmes, como os assassinatos de judeus que o personagem de Ralph Fiennes comete em A LISTA DE SCHINDLER até outros menos votados como o thriller TWO MINUTE WARNING, com Charlton Heston nos anos 70.

Aqui, em uma cidade muito bonita (e com a amplitude bem explorada pelas filmagens, cada crime do sniper é antecedido de cenas de suspense quase insuportáveis.

HALIFAX: RETRIBUTION ainda tem no elenco atores e atrizes australianos ou não de elite: Claudia Karvan, Mavournee Hazel, Rick Donald, Ming Zu Hii e Michala Banas.

Vou seguir a Dra. Jane Halifax em sua busca pelo criminoso que atira do alto de prédios de Melbourne. Até agora tem sido bem compensador.

The PBS MASTERPIECE app is showing the brand new mini serie HALIFAX; RETRIBUTION that Australian TV aired in late 2020.

Multi-award winning New Zealand actress Rebecca Gibney returns to the role of Criminologist Jane Hallifax who successfully lived between 1994 and 2002 in the series HALIFAX F.P. in 21 episodes. Twenty years later she is called up again to collaborate with the Melbourne Police in hunting down a sniper who kills people seemingly at random.

When panic sets in in the city, the Police Command assembles a task force led by the experienced Tom Saracen (the great Anthony Lapaglia), with a past work at the US FBI.

I’ve seen three of the seven episodes. I’m really enjoying it. The story is well developed and manages to create an excellent suspense for the viewer. The figure of the sniper who kills at random has already generated anthological scenes in great films, such as the murders of Jews that Ralph Fiennes’ character commits in SCHINDLER’S LIST to other less popular ones such as the thriller TWO MINUTE WARNING, with Charlton Heston in the 70s .

Here, in a very beautiful city (and with the breadth well explored by the filming), each sniper’s crime is preceded by almost unbearable suspense scenes.

HALIFAX: RETRIBUTION still features elite Australian (or not) actors and actresses: Claudia Karvan, Mavournee Hazel, Rick Donald, Ming Zu Hii and Michala Banas.

I will follow Dr. Jane Halifax in her search for the criminal who shoots from Melbourne’s high-rise buildings. So far it’s been very rewarding.
