A série LAW AND ORDER, um dos maiores sucessos do Produtor Dick Wolf é uma adaptação americana de um seriado inglês (ótimo por sinal) que traz histórias policiais mesclando as atividades dos detetives que as investigam e dos promotores que levam os acusados a Juízo. Wolf preserva, depois de décadas a mesma estrutura, com a abertura lendo em voz grave um texto sobre os profissionais da lei envolvidos até o lettering final de que tudo ali é ficção e qualquer coincidência com fatos ou pessoas reais terá sido mera coincidência.

Agora em 2022, a NBC resolver recriar o LAW AND ORDER original. Os atores ainda vivos. Sam Waterston (como o EADA Jack McCoy), Camryn Manheim, Anthony Anderson, Hugh Dancy estão de volta. Há acréscimos como Jeff Donovan e Odelya Halevy. Até Carey Lowell (ex Sra. Richard Gere) faz um participação especial.
A primeira história desta retomada vai direto em um tema polêmico: a vítima de um estuprador rico, que se livra da justiça por filigranas legais, resolve fazer justiça pelas próprias mãos.
Dick Wolf sabe onde coloca seu dinheiro. A história é boa, o elenco afinado e o tom de urgência o mesmo de sempre, acentuado pela trilha sonora que virou clássica.
Que bom que LAW AND ORDER está de volta. Trinta e dois anos depois, nunca a gente precisou tanto de lei e ordem.

Wolf preserves, after decades, the same structure, with the opening reading in a low voice a text about the legal professionals involved until the final lettering that everything there is fiction and any coincidence with facts or real people will have been mere coincidence.
Not so much. It is evident that both the British and American LAW AND ORDER are inspired by real police cases, and in some episodes it is even easy to identify who is who.

Dick Wolf knows where he puts his money. The story is good, the cast in tune and the tone of urgency the same as always, accentuated by the soundtrack that became classic.
So glad LAW AND ORDER is back. Thirty-two years later, we’ve never needed law and order so much.
