Algum tempo atrás, escrevi sobre a produção da ITV, THE BAY, uma excelente série policial apresentada no BRITBOX.
A temporada 3 iniciou com uma surpreendente troca de protagonista. A policial chefe das investigações da morte de um boxeador da colônia muçulmana de Morecambe, Inglaterra são conduzidas pela recém chegada Marsha Thomason, como a D.S. Jen Townsend. Vinda de Liverpool, com os dois filhos adolescentes do primeiro casamento ela vai ter muita incomodação pela frente.
Gosto muito de THE BAY. Certamente há um crime intrincado cuja solução consome boa parte da ação.
Mas há os dramas de policiais e seus familiares e das famílias das vítimas, como raramente uma série mostra. Ao menos neste profundidade.

Season 3 kicked off with a surprising lead change. The police chief investigations into the death of a boxer from the Muslim colony of Morecambe, England are led by newcomer Marsha Thomason, as D.S. Jen Townsend. Coming from Liverpool, with her two teenage children from her first marriage, she’s going to have a lot of trouble ahead.
I really like THE BAY. There is certainly an intricate crime whose solution consumes much of the action.
But there are the dramas of police officers and their families and the victims’ families, as a series rarely shows. At least at this depth.
THE BAY is a great series.
