Now, on June 16, a new version of the film will be released on HBO MAX. Andy Garcia is the father and Gloria Estefan is the mother of the young bride played by the rising actress Isabella Merced.

The 1991 movie was really good. I’ve never forgotten the scene at the first dinner with her daughter’s fiancé, in which Diane Keaton asks what he does professionally. “I’m an independent financial adviser,” the young man replies. To which the father-in-law replies: “He is unemployed.”
The empty nest syndrome will give us many good laughs again.
